Ignoring You
Unlike dogs, cats were never bred and trained to obey commands. That doesn’t mean that your cat doesn’t know its name; it just doesn’t care enough to respond.
What’s more, cats are stubborn and temperamental. If you want to be a cat owner, you have to understand and accept that. Your cat will only come to you when they feel like it.
Most cats don’t mind when you initiate the contact, provided that you do so delicately, without sudden movements and sounds. Still, others might be scared or annoyed by random objects and harmless actions. Even if your cat adores you, it needs its alone time.
