Biting Nails
In addition to scratching everything they can get their paws on, cats will pick at their claws with their teeth with the intention of cleaning them. Again, that helps them remove the dead outer layer to reveal a brand new sharp claw underneath. Furthermore, just like any other form of grooming, picking at their claws is quite enjoyable for them.
Cats typically do so as part of their usual grooming routine. However, in some rare cases, they can bite their nails out of anxiety or boredom, just like us humans do! If you believe your cat does so excessively, it might be a good idea to visit the vet to rule out any health conditions.
