Her shift was in the morning. Because her store was in a busy area, the majority of her customers were people who worked nearby and stopped by for breakfast or lunch.
She’d gotten used to most of the faces she saw on a daily basis in just a few months. Because there were so many regular customers, each day seemed to blend into the next. This one, on the other hand, would be drastically different.
